Progress and Outness

I ordered something very important on June 20 and it has not yet arrived. Today marks 17 business days elapsed since processing confirmation, which normally you'd expect to fall within the 4-6 business days suggested by the site as an appropriate delivery window. Maybe not, my maths is not really on fire today.

Neuralgia is flaring up pretty suddenly and intensely tonight, but hardly out of the blue since I've been feeling so virusy and generally unable to cope the last few days. So I expect another no-fun zombie week is on the cards. Either that or screaming. Or I try to stay drunk for a week. Hmmm. I apologise in advance for my behaviour, and if you follow me on Twitter and/or FB, I apologise for all that too.
6 months review
Mar. 26th, 2012 10:39 pmToday I went to the shrink for my usual 6 monthly review. I go more often if I feel it will be helpful. Once I didn't go for about 8 years. That was stupid. Although it's been a Rough(tm) six months I never really felt that an extra visit would be to my advantage.

A new day dawning
Mar. 24th, 2012 07:07 amReally starting to feel the rollercoaster side effects of using amitriptyline as pain relief. Yesterday got hit by depression (as anticipated - I was actually pleased it held off as long as it did) and then had a sleepless night last night/this morning with gradually increasing all-over jitters. Pain isn't a problem though so I hope to work out those jitters with a bit of a walk, always assuming I survive the strenuous business of showering and dressing. But by way of compensation I was rewarded with another gorgeous sunrise. Didn't catch this one early, but still got the business end and some very nice shots of both colour and form. And powerlines. I might start giving them names.

B12 and neuralgia
Mar. 20th, 2012 11:09 pmFor those who came in late, in 2005/2006 (I think - I'm a bit vague about dates) I had shingles in one of the major nerves down my right leg. Unfortunately it was diagnosed late and treated improperly for a few days so it ended up being a bad case that left me with especially stubborn chronic illness and posthepetic neuralgia. But while I get pain in all sorts of places from the fibromyalgia (which I've had for much longer) fortunately the neuralgia is mostly dormant.

About 4 months ago I had my first B12 shot in ages. I'm supposed to have them every three months (about the only concrete advice I've ever been given by the medical profession) but I had to stop because I was having such bad reactions.

Feb. 29th, 2012 11:34 pmThings happened today. It was a better day than yesterday. Pain still pretty bad, but somewhere in the afternoon I suddenly felt more hopeful about life, which helps me to cope with the pain, so it's the best order of events.
