Life has been rather grim lately, particularly with regard to my freedom or lack thereof to get out of the house and do anything resembling fun. Even inside the house my hands are so wrecked with arthritis and I've so little energy that I'm forced to brutally prioritise to a shrinking list of essential activities. But not entirely.
( Read more... )I'd promised The Catmobile a run today to help chase the cobwebs out of her engine. Due to lack of spoons and thus imagination I ended up in the Sorrento Surf Life-Saving Club carpark, which is where we usually go to look at ocean sunsets and such. By pure co-incidence the club was hosting an art show, so after a period of time sitting on a wall in the sun I thought I'd give it a look. I then discovered I'm some kind of monster. So, a post in which I ramble incoherently about art...

( Read more... )This is a frivolous post. I have not assigned spoons for this, nor is it anywhere in my various lists of priorities. My lists of priority tasks are long; my spoons are short. I can't really afford this. But sometimes you just have to kick over the traces and do whatever you damn want to. So I'm going to ramble for a bit.

Husband and I enjoy looking at Art together, so it was on his suggestion that we extended this wedding trip to include a quick dash to Hobart to visit MONA - the Museum of Old and New Art.
