Hail repairs update
Oct. 29th, 2014 09:31 amAs I write this a Nice Man is up on the roof measuring up the patio roof area for replacement. I've had a lot of information thrown at me in the last ten forty minutes and I'll attempt to record it here.
Hail from hell
Oct. 26th, 2014 08:44 pmtl;dr On Thursday 18th October 2014 at roughly 4pm Sector 7 was struck by an extreme hailstorm which destroyed our patio roof and caused some water damage to the ceiling. Also apologies for timey wimey vagueness and possible cruelty to tenses. Spoons have not been in good supply lately.

Mar. 20th, 2014 11:40 pmOh bugger. Looks like I must have given Cafepress permission to randomly stick my designs on any old product they want, regardless of how well they fit. (I'm assuming there's a clause buried in the T&Cs somewhere).

Jan. 30th, 2014 03:14 amI had a good day on Tuesday, with some nice surprises.

Nov. 13th, 2013 12:11 amThis is a frivolous post. I have not assigned spoons for this, nor is it anywhere in my various lists of priorities. My lists of priority tasks are long; my spoons are short. I can't really afford this. But sometimes you just have to kick over the traces and do whatever you damn want to. So I'm going to ramble for a bit.
tl;dr I ramble for quite a bit.

Nov. 4th, 2013 11:22 pmI do so hate spending all my spoons on medical things, as opposed to wringing out every scrap of life I can, but them's the current breaks. I include the writing effort that goes into these medical report posts, but they're such darn useful things they have to take priority. Today I saw Dr NF for what was supposed to be the next review of The Supplement Program From Hell but the appointment didn't quite go that way.

Jun. 4th, 2013 01:51 pmSo today was the day I took myself and my precious precious Pyroluria test paperwork to Clinipath in West Perth, the one place where they collect and process one's wee for shipping to the one lab in Queensland who do the actual testing.
( Read more... )On Wednesday I thought I'd managed to get a referral from my GP to do a test for Pyroluria, but it turns out that paperwork was useless.

May. 29th, 2013 08:37 pmWent to my GP today armed with internet info on Pyroluria and the important factoid that a family member had tested positive for it.

May. 23rd, 2013 09:13 pmAbout a month ago we took delivery of a load of mulch via the Mulchnet service, which is a marketplace that links people seeking mulch and tree contractors who have fresh woodchips to get rid of. You can register for free mulch and hope and wait, or you can pay for just delivery which will increase your chances of getting some, or like us you can pay a bit more (still much less than landscaping supplies cost) for a definite delivery when a load becomes available in the local area.
We paid in cash, but a couple of days ago we received an invoice for that amount from the tree contractor.

Apr. 17th, 2013 10:08 pmSeems like quite a while since I last managed a simple what-I-got-up-to-today post, but today I seemed to get a lot done, which feels worthy of note.

I ordered something very important on June 20 and it has not yet arrived. Today marks 17 business days elapsed since processing confirmation, which normally you'd expect to fall within the 4-6 business days suggested by the site as an appropriate delivery window. Maybe not, my maths is not really on fire today.
