I bring you Rainforest Jasper from Australia. Where in Australia? I hear you ask. It's a pretty big place. Well, I don't know officially, but I have a sneaking suspicion this comes from Queensland.
It seems like forever since I've had a chance to break out the microscope and look at an actual new rock. Have some raw contact sheets:

I've been busy processing and uploading old pretty rock pictures to redbubble, but as I was trying to choose which one to go up next, I craved a bit of novelty.

It takes a lot of long- mid- and short- listing to choose pictures, and I had abruptly had enough of the back catalogue. Time to change tack, and if one must change tack, this isn't a bad way to go about it.
This is one I've adjusted for contrast and brightness:

This is a lovely rock, full of promising impressionist works. I did try a microscope slide cover on this, hoping to get sharper focus, but it just wasn't there to be had. This is what it looks like folks: soft, dreamy and beautiful.
