Propping up a dodgy memory

Went to the vampires this morning to redo the usual tests prior to my Big Specialist Appointment next week. If it weren't for the timing of fasting periods I probably wouldn't have dragged myself out in the morning, but drag I did. Also did my bit for Swine Flu by attending a crowded pathology collection centre next to a bubbling doctor's surgery and positively overflowing pharmacy. I've never seen four people behind the bench before. I washed my hands quite thoroughly

I've just found out that a colleague of mine and an old friend of my sister's passed away yesterday afternoon after a difficult battle with cancer.

There's so much I want to say. Perhaps another time.
