Husband is currently on a The Third Man kick, and became excited when he spotted a promo for an Inspector Rex episode set partly in the sewers of Vienna.

"Look!" he proclaimed, "they're using the same camera angles as The Third Man!"

I would argue that the cinematographic options offered by a sewer are somewhat limited, but he was keen enough to record Rex, cut out the non-sewer bits and put the remainder on his own Third Man party mix DVD.

He's also cut together his own Kevin Victorious DVD, with bits of The Insiders, the ABC election coverage, Chaser, Newstopia and The 7:30 Report.

All on the DVD recorder - we have yet to take advantage of the film editing possibilities of the laptop.
