stephbgLake Bonneville is in Idaho, and sports some rather lovely moss agate.
This is actually the very first unpolished slab I bought on eBay, as a test for my theory that unpolished flat slabs would be easier to photograph than the highly polished round tumbled stones that I first fell in love with.
It was almost an accident that I learned what my camera macro function could do, and I have moss agate to thank for that.
The microscope showed me so much more :-)
As is my brain's habit these days, I see a female figure in this one. An angel with outstretched arms:
