Today's pretty rock is a rough slab of marcasite in agate from Nipomo California, USA. These are shots I took with the camera, experimenting with different auto-focus settings (I have no manual focus). I also tried rubbing the slab with linseed oil to bring out the colours, as it rejects water. I wasn't wildly impressed with either experiment, but I did come out of it with some interesting images.
Best viewed at a bit of distance, I think some of these look like asteroid storms, or perhaps the remnants of a planet's destruction.
