I'm noticing trends amongst my rock pictures, which may say more about my object recognition skills than I imagine. It may also say more about my traumatic childhood than I imagine.
For exery inspiring starscape, landscape, face or bunny shape I see, I seem to come up with an equal selection of gory pathology slides. Tonight is no exception, and so I present to you some alien autopsies in Rhyolite:

This piece of rock is from Queensland. OR IS IT?????

When I first took closeups of this slab I really enjoyed all the opportunities afforded by the detailed formations.

With a microscope the fun is multiplied!

Some of these are good candidates for prints.

More slightly less gross images of this slab to come.
