May I present the Selenites? No, they're not Doctor Who monsters, but are varieties of gypsum, which is used to make plaster of paris. Fragile little suckers, and the main cause of horror at the idea of moving the collection even a few feet. The wall behind the cabinet may never get painted, and I'll certainly never move house again.
But they are indeed pretty. Might have a few other forms of gypsum hanging about, but these are the main suspects. Some of the closeups came out quite nicely.
