Apparently there aren't many musical arrangements in the world for banjo and piano. I think I can guess the reason why.
Husband has picked up another job to write arrangements for--you guessed it--banjo and piano. He's done quite a bit of work with this client over the years, making play-along tracks for banjo lessons, and arranging jazz pieces for a 4 banjo ensemble. Yes, 4 banjos at once.
In the early years of our relationship we had a conversation that went a little bit like this:
(pre-)Husband: You should learn banjo. It will help our relationship.
Me: ...
OK, I may be paraphrasing a bit but it was a very short conversation, and one never to be repeated.
