* Loud crunching noises greeted me on awakening today. Some were from my personal anatomy, and the quieter ones from the roadworks crew out the front of the house scraping up the kerbing.

* I did not make it to work today, but Husband was rostered off so we got some time together.

* The Power of Advertising was used for good yesterday. I am now aware of the existence of Cadbury's Lemon Cheesecake chocolate. A trip to the supermarket for same this afternoon revealed the empty spot on the shelves where it presumably had been stocked. I'm hoping its obvious popularity will not trigger the local's usual stocking policy of "No product for you!"

* Footlloose (Kenny Loggins) was playing on the car radio as I drove home from the shops. This cheered me up immeasurably.

* It's grey and low and drizzly now, but the weather forecast is for a stretch of fine weather. Yay!

* Husband came home from a shopping trip with the Holy Grail of cat furniture: The Fish-shaped Cat Igloo. I've been looking for one of these for nearly a year. It's a bit squished flat at the moment, but Princess is currently installed and clearly approves.

EDIT: Pumpkin is now in the fish. It is an official triumph.

* Also News Flash: SGIO research reveals that Perth drivers do not know how to merge and change lanes. Oh really? I hadn't noticed :-|

Oh yes the Lemon Cheesecake chocolate...I hadn't seen it advertised but walked into a display of it at Coles (almost literally) and it fell in my basket...along with the chocolate brownie chocolate from the same range. Oops. I found the cheesecake flavour one a bit weird tasting - that artificial kind of lemon flavour (what a surprise) but Talmor loved it more that the brownie one.

Where is the cat fish igloo from btw - I think our puss would love something like that.

There was no chocolate brownie left in the supermarket either - but there was a conspicuously full shelf of the boisenberry shortcake variety. The public has spoken I guess. Lemon yes! Chocolate yes! That other thing no!

The cat fish igloo and the chicken shaped one both came from Red Dot. They also had a bright pink pig, but that seemed Just Wrong.
