Roger the Turtle or It's Not Just Me

Had a lovely phone chat with the rarely-spotted-in-the-wild Eldest Sister today. She's recently back from a trip to Bali where she got to release a baby sea turtle into the wild. She named him Roger, which is a great name for a sea turtle. I'd totally go there. She once looked after Derek The Canary (who incidentally was indeed a canary), which I think works similarly well. The next canary was due to be called Apostrophe, but apparently he didn't show.
Getting back to our heroes in a half shell, the turtle clutch had been laid on the beach in front of a resort, so wildlife staff had protected it and raised money by getting tourists to pay for the chance to release a hatchling into the ocean when the time came. I am reliably informed that baby turtles tickle as they run over your hands and arms, desperate to reach the ocean. Think palm-sized cockroach. Hmmm. I think I killed some of the romance there.
Also in good news she managed a trip to Bali without having to dodge terrorism or volcanic activity this time. Just a bit of minor flooding...
