Have just returned from a massage and today was one of the nice soothing ones. I feel very soothed and not at all battered. Almost certainly something to do with the Serious Blue Pills I took yesterday (? um) but I've got that I've-been-stroked-for-an-hour-by-a-professional glow.
Sometimes my massages are more energetic, and involve nerve triggers and pressure points and no-pain-no-gain bruisiness. Not today 8-)

Date: 2007-09-01 01:17 pm (UTC)Amitriptyline. A bastard to spell, I had to go and get the box. Commercial name of mine is Endep, but it's probably got others.
It's used as an antidepressent and pain killer, particularly for nerve-based pain. It makes me too sleepy to use regularly as an AD, but I need to take it sometimes for pain relief. Also has a fun euphoric effect sometimes :-)
