Husband has scheduled another early trip to the beach tomorrow, and has extracted a promise from me: that I will approach a stranger* and ask them if I can touch their horse.

(*) A stranger with a horse.

I reckon the sentence can be improved by putting the asterisk after 'their', rather than 'stranger'.
