Take Noel Coward, add a modern Australian screenwiter or two and a seriously good cast, and you've got Easy Virtue.
No explosions, and the only gunfire was directed at small furry animals. Terribly English, but with highlights. Excellent characters, particularly the females. Colin Firth doing rouguish phwoardom, with bonus tango scene *swoon*.
The ending was interesting: part of my brain didn't approve, but another part of my brain absolutely approved. Neat trick.
It wasn't too long (93min). Good commentary by the writers/directors.
Smashing. I liked it.
