Medical Plans

Some catchup notes mainly for my own reference and organisation.
Tomorrow I see Dr K (not ours) for the followup to the investigations and biopsies taken last Tuesday. At the time I went I was most concerned about the condition of my digestive system and liver and concentrated on that. I have since found that there are no obvious problems in the major systems, although nutrient malabsorbtion is still on the table.
This time I was better prepared and wrote up some notes about what food and chemical groups do to me. It was an interesting reminder of how many fewer symptoms I have to bother me (fewer headaches, twitches, sinus problems, breathing problem etc).
In response to blood tests I've been taking Zinc and Magnesium supplements to good effect, although have gained 5kg in the process :-( Still, given that unnatural weightloss was a symptom I can't complain too much can I?
I've also had a couple of B12 shots and folate supplements, with not apparent effect. What I need is a management plan for all of these supplements. How much is enough? Over what period? etc
The digestive enzymes and slippery elm are gold and I've got a good routine there for making me feel better/addressing certain symptoms.
What I want now is a deeper look at my metabolism to find out where the energy is being blocked. Not necessarily blocked in a chakra sense, but at the cellular level. My fatigue is not bone deep, but muscle deep. Do I have a problem moving oxygen around? Releasing glucose into muscle cells? Spitting RNA out of mitochondria? Getting glucose past the blood-brain barrier? No adrenaline?
I've bowed to quackery and bought some Coenzyme Q10, but won't start taking them until after tomorrow. The last thing I want is a giant cocktail of drugs and supplements every night, but it's looking that way even now.
So Mr General Physician, assuming that none of the tests you've ordered actually tell us anything, what next? A complete mineral analysis? A nice long wait to see a neurologist, perhaps? The last time I saw a neurologist she simply made sure that I was unlikely to stop breathing, assured me that I simply had a "really bad flu" and sent me home from the logjam of beds the emergency corridor had become. I think I was there about 8 hours, but got seen to several times in that interval.
Blathering now. No brain spoons left.
