Is it just me...

Or would the Tour de France make a great first person shooter video game? Please link if such a thing already exists.
Obviously you'd have a machine gun of some sort mounted on your handlebars, and the first thing you'd have to blow away are the inconvenient spectators. You'd probably have to avoid the officials, although film crews without appropriate media passes might be worth a few points.
Then you could take out your fellow competitors, but since you could only shoot them from behind you would then have to avoid becoming a victim of the subsequent pileup. I suppose you'd have to abstain from shooting your own team members, at least until everyone else was out, but there would be penalties for firing in camera range of your team's national media.
Bonus points for running over or avoiding certain messages painted on the roads.
Some kind of system for managing energy levels and effort, and taking damage from falls (boring stuff but necessary for the kid-friendly non-shooting mode). A fluid management system might also be required (with penalties for discarding full wee bottles in the vicinity of nuns).
But mostly shooting and crashes :-)

Any good mod-hackers out there?

Also in the mountain stages, at the top of the mountain the riders are given sheets of newspaper to stuff down their shirts to keep the wind of their torsos, to keep some of the wind off as they descend at ~100km/h. Does this count as getting a new weapon during a stage?
