Shrydar throws himself on my mercy

I first met
shrydar at UWA, thanks to the crossover between UniSFA and UCC. He was very hairy (although at the time the hair went sideways rather than gravity-wards), and spoke very very fast and quietly. Sometimes I struggled to keep up, but it was worth the effort. He is a very bright lad, and sparkles.
For a while he disappeared to London with wife J to write the physics bits of car crash computer games. I always imagined this to mean modelling how vehicles might roll over going around corners, or how debris might fly realistically after a collision. Cool, I thought.
I was very glad when he returned to Perth. At Swancon 2007 he wore cool shoes. Unlike many people on lj I found him easy to identify because of his fab user icon with the green hair streaks in it. Stylish, geeky, friendly, fun. He still talks a bit quietly and fast for my little brain, but it's still worth the effort.
