On Friday I was very sad to miss Fe2h2o's birthday conflagration.

On Saturday I got so far as to look at the map for the location of Eurogames Fest. Sadly that urge was defeated by the desire to take advantage of the sun at the zoo, but I call it progress in my gaming therapy. Maybe I need to hitch a ride from one of the locals

Today I had a vague urge to go to the Karrinyup Shopping Centre for a shopping trip, but later discovered it was a hideous crush and was relieved that I dodged that bullet. Instead I dabbled with minor laundry duties and a lot of unconsciousness and cat warming.

Tomorrow I'm off to the vampires to get a fresh batch of tests done before I see the diagnostician in a couple of weeks. At one point I was determined to eat especially healthily before doing the tests, but then I rationalised that it was probably better to understand the effects of normal behaviour, which at the moment is part beige, part rocky road.

A couple of art galleries are calling my name. A bit of paid work wouldn't go astray, and I have weeds to poison now they've sprouted after the rains. I retrieved the spray pump from the wilds of the shed today, so that's progress.

Wednesday we hope to see [livejournal.com profile] angriest in A Day in the Death of Joe Egg, although I'm not looking forward to the associated logistics to get us both there on time. But when do I ever?

The Trek fest continues. We've just got one discarded s1 episode to watch (one of the time travel ones I rejected on the first time through). We've seen about half of s2, but someone else in the area is having the same idea so we'll see some s3 while waiting for the remaining s2 discs to come back. When that's all cleared up we can go through the TOS movies. Neither of us have seen them all, and the fact that they might be bad movies is of no great cause for concern. We don't watch movies just to enjoy them.

I should write more about ST:TOS and the common themes batter away at my consciousness. My stunted feminist hackles even get some action, and it takes a lot to get those off the ground. That said, I really like curvy 60's beauties in space bikinis.
