Congratulations

Major congratulations, warm fuzzies and happy years to
redbraids and
mikey_ob on the occasion of their wedding. The bride and groom looked positively *regal*. That's the only word for it *happy sigh*. In fact the capacity crowd were very impressively attired, despite the many last-minute wardrobe adjustments required to cope with the suddenly bracing conditions. We could collectively offer no less to such a couple. Look Mum, no bogans!
I had only one minor mental issue, for I couldn't identify the music preceeding the entrance of the bride. Although I was later informed it was the theme from the classic BBC version of Pride and Prejudice I couldn't shake the impression that it was the theme from Murder She Wrote. An unlikely proposition, but a stubborn one.
As always, lovely to attend a wedding with Husband. We nudged each other and squeezed hands at appropriate moments, although we giggled quietly at the admonishment to the bridal couple to not "score points". That's half the fun, surely?
Couldn't stay long at the casual but charming reception, unfortunately, and had to flee (in a wobbly fashion) even before the speeches, which was unfortunate. Still, there will be video evidence I'm sure and I look forward to hearing the no-doubt lovely words I missed.
Speaking of video evidence... um, B&M, if I appear on your wedding reception video being drunk and mildly inappropriate, I was quietly demonstrating to
rabbit1080 the *wrong* way to record reception greetings to the bride and groom when I belatedly noticed a video camera a few metres away possibly pointing in my direction. Oops. Might be harmless. Might be... bad. On the bright side, might be animated and funny, if only my horrified expression on becoming aware of the unexpected media attention. Hopefully *fingers crossed*.
Much love to you both.

Date: 2009-05-23 04:33 pm (UTC)mikey_ob is one of my two oldest friends - although we have fallen in and out of touch several times through the years. It is a significant thrill to see him and redbraids tie the knot.
May you both have a long and happy life together.
