Large furry animals

I am developing an urge to spend time with giraffes. I think I have a trip to the zoo in my future where I park myself in one spot and just watch and watch. I might even get myself an annual pass so I can go there a lot more often. I drove past the zoo dozens of times going to and from BB's place and never went in.

I also need to get some quiet horse time, just breathing, grooming and scritching. At most some halter work. These things are high on the list for when I start to feel better RSN.

If I were in Perth, I would so offer to keep you company if you wanted some whilst watching giraffes. I think they are fascinating (and beautiful) critters.

I bought an annual pass for the family and we have certainly got our money's worth.

AFAIK you can spend a few hundred dollars on a "behind the scenes" day, which allows you to get really close to the animals, the ad on the zoo web page shows some random punter feeding a giraffe.

zoo pass good (it pays for itself after 4 or 5 visits i think). we dropped in this morning to look at meerkats and otters.

also, you can hire those "gopher" electric wheelchairs at the zoo. dunno if that would help you get there sooner, but they look fun anyway. wheeee!
