There's a twist

I've been waiting for window company #2 to come around this afternoon between 3 and 4:30pm. And waiting. Bastards, I used precious spoons on showering and dressing for you! Fortunately I didn't waste precious work time so it could have been worse. So why didn't they turn up?
Because they were here yesterday.
I thought it was a co-incidence that both representatives of Joondalup Glass and Ocean Keys Glass were called Tim, and I admit I was a little thrown yesterday when the Joondalup Glass Tim arrived in a van marked Wanneroo Glass. No matter, though, they're all pretty much the same at this point.
So today I waited for Ocean Keys, and then eventually called the office to ask if Tim was coming.
"He's standing right next to me," said the nice lass. Oh good, I thought, he'll get a nice bollocking from the office staff. But during the hold music a great light dawned.
"Did you say B---G---?" "Do you also trade as Joondalup Glass?"
They'd only just figured it out themselves.
Serves me right for picking two ads at semi-random out of the local paper, although I think it establishes that I use some kind of consistent selection method. Maybe not an entirely rational selection method, but a consistent one.
In the meantime I have a termite inspection booked for Thursday to see if all the damage I keep finding is *fingers crossed* old and done. I'm also pretty sure it's going to be too expensive to make the problem go away properly, so I'm up for some tinkering and patching. More quotes, as the carpentry is a bit beyond me and I don't think I can afford to wait until I have the energy to do the scraping, patching and painting all myself.
I did have a bit of a niggle with Tim yesterday. He was enormously helpful and full of advice and information right up until we went inside to inspect an interior lintel. Husband wandered over and Tim started to address him, not me. Now it *might* have been polite include-all-stakeholders behaviour, but I did feel somewhat dismissed :-(
