No more spoons. Just like that :-(

ETA: OK, for future reference I should record:

* Overheating with sudden and extreme perspiration
* Shortness of breath (not fun at all)
* Puffiness, especially around eyes and hands
* Extreme muscle weakness, fatigue, and loss of sensation, bordering on paralysis, particularly in the arms.
* Hands and feet clawing

But no headache or sleepiness. No nausea. Only medium loss of IQ, but rapid drop under pressure. Bye bye coping skills.

A few hours later fingers are back on the move, but shakey. Can't straighten them yet. Breathing improved.

Headache kicking in now. Starting to get contraction pain around the jaw and sinus pressure, plus tight neck ligature. Might be a little dehydrated too.

Note to self: Tim Tams will hurt you. Not immediately, but they will find you and break you.

I *must* take tomorrow quietly.

Hope it goes soon. :-(. I have been vicariously enjoying your new found energy - so pleased that it has been going so well.
Tim Tams have something very allergenic in them. I don't know what it is but long before I had heard of food sensitivities I found that I couldn't eat more than two without gastro. This was in my early twenties. Sadly, we must AVOID THE TIM TAM.

My reaction speaks of preservatives and additives rather than the obvious chocolate and wheat risks. But yes, things did indeed kick off with an unusual (for me) form of gastro.

And the engergy hasn't *all* gone. Although I know I have to take today easy I have managed to squeeze in some sit-down gardening (clearing dead stuff from a clump of native grass) and polish my boots. This is Day 3 of a preservative reaction so I know that I'm likely to feel a whole lot worse either later today or early tomorrow, and then should bounce back in time for the weekend.

I've had a close look at the ingredient list and 4 out the 5 listed colours are on my "nasty additive" list. This includes E133 "Brilliant Blue". Why? I don't know. I guess it helps to make brown.

It's quite a while since I've slipped up or otherwise experimented with colour additives. If I'd actually read the packet I probably would have been able to restrain myself.

I think it must be an additive. I don't get the gastro with binges on chocolate or wheat. Not that our sensitivities are necessarily the same, but it is a helpful bit of info.

I got the expected short term amine headache from the chocolate within the hour (a price I was prepared to pay), but none of the potential wheat-overdose effects (mostly sleepiness). I'm not *that* sensitive to wheat so I wasn't expecting that anyway. I'm quite sure the colours were the problem, particularly given the breathing issues (which has settled nicely now).
