I have iced it, warmed it, soaked it, cushioned it, elevated it, babied it, flexed it, rested it, and contorted it.
It is an inflamed nerve in my leg, the stubbornmost part deep in my hip. Unfortunately it's time to concede defeat and drug it, but that will involve the Serious Blue Pills which I avoid like the plague. I may not make much sense for the next couple of days. I may also double my weight :-(
On the bright side, the initial cause of the inflammation--a really nasty fibro attack that turned my fascia to stone and slowly but surely wrenched my joints apart--has largely responded to all that nursing.
On the dark side, I've been otherwise quite mentally functional over the last few days and have been doing some really good work, so it seems such a *waste* of potentially good days to take pills I know will have a detrimental effect.
See you on the other side :-(
