Ford versus Holden? They both have souless bodies. I need more shape in my machines.

I've been looking at other reviews of Top Gear Australia and I must agree that their racetrack seems particularly dull, or is poorly photographed. Curves, people. Oversteer. Understeer. Show me that apex. I think the Australian landscape works against them there, as it's difficult to tell the difference between the track and the dusty grass.

Clarkeson-clone's delivery was even more gruff and stilted this week. I'm beginning to suspect that he'll never be as smooth or amusing as I require in a host.

Hamster-clone's doing better, but he's not pretty enough. I need human eye candy too.

I've always liked Warren as a presenter, and the cartoons add something new to the production. It's a bit of a shame he's been set up so obviously to be the new Captain Slow, but I can live with that.

Big yay for the ute gold ore challenge. Very Australian, and The Stig Who Is Not THE Stig in a Haulpak was a thing of beauty. Probably helped by the fact that I actually care about efficiency in mine hauling. I shall dispense with nerd-like complaints about the methods of calculation. Happy noises.

I think Charlie Cox will kill the show more surely than any other factor. Clarkson is an annoying prat, but he's an amusing annoying prat. Cox just grates.

Have to agree with that. It's not unknown to replace a presenter - remember the boring dealer there before James May?

Fingers crossed.
