In your face, evil giant corporation

Dear Coles
I spit on your pathetic attempts to influence my shopping habits. I like Lowan Rolled Oats. They're much cheaper than Uncle Toby's Rolled Oats, and while not quite as cheap as ColesEvil Monopolistic Own Brand Rolled Oats, the Lowan is a much better product. If you were to decide to simply discontinue the sale of Lowan Rolled Oats I would appreciate that as a business decision. I wouldn't like it, but I would live with it. Put up the Discontinued Line sticker and be done with it.
You, however, have chosen a strategy to manipulate my mind, no doubt in the belief that if I think I've switched to Coles Own Brand as a matter of choice, I will not see the demise of Lowan Rolled Oats as a personal attack on my freedom of choice.
Bastards.
You have emptied the shelves of Lowan Oats, and filled them with Coles Oats. This worked on me exactly once. Denied the choice--and not finding it necessary to track down a staff member and ladder to access the Lowan Oats lurking on the top shelf--I bought Coles Rolled Oats. After all, they're all the same, aren't they?
No. No they're not. Coles Rolled Oats are rough and lumpy and resistant to microwave technology. I spurn your inferior product. The next time Lowan Oats appeared on the shelves I bought two bags, just in case. This stash lasted me a while, but I kept an eye on my future lines of supply. Coles Oats remained on the shelves; Lowan Oats were rarely available, but could be spotted well out of reach near the ceiling.
Today I made a stand. Needing to restock I found an actual staff member with an actual ladder and requested their assistance. It took some convincing. I had to show her the empty spot on the shelf where they were supposed to be (and noticeably lacking any hint of a Discontinued Line sticker). Fortunately I was in no mood to take human prisoners and got my way.
So, Coles, if you want to dominate the rolled oats and other grocery line markets at least have the decency to do so honestly. Don't make me vote with my feet. Again.
