Big (slightly caffeine-assisted) day at work today, including an introduction to the wonderful world of Manganese ore blending and recovery. If you have 19 pits each producing 7 classes (not grades) of ore that require separate crusher and recovery calculations, blending into 4 stockpiles as classified by tolerances on 6 variables, then blending into shiploads as per customer requirements *deep breath* you don't want to do it with a spreadsheet. May as well use chicken entrails.

A request from Husband to you, Steph's imaginary internet friends

My Wife has a disturbingly fragile ego, and when combined with a reasonable attempt at humour she annoys me enormously suffers whilst waiting for approval from her peers. Approval from me is like approval from Mother - it just doesn't count.

To what am I referring? This gem from the previous post: "It's Raining Mn" the subject of a post about Manganese mining and recovery i.e. "It's Raining Manganese". Get it now???? It has captured her imagination. She's been humming it around the house, and worse, desperately checking her e-mail every 10 seconds to see if anyone has approved, laughed, scorned or indeed noticed.

It's been hours. She needs to get to sleep. Please, I beg you, love it or mock it, just acknowledge the damn stupid pun so we can all get on with out lives.
