New Toy

Having done far less shopping about than I should have, today I assembled a laptop at Dell and am now awaiting delivery. It's actually the first time I've ever bought a computer new. In the design phase it's very tempting to upscale everything but fortunately there's a running total of the cost on the bottom of the page.

Now I need to get my wireless modem - ebay looks tempting - and a bigpond account and then all I have to do is go through the joy of changing my e-mail address everywhere. I've had it for many years so it will take a while to filter through. I'll have to maintain my iinet account for at least a year so I can catch everything.

I'm too sleepy to feel bouncy, but it will be exciting to finally have that argument-settling google access right there in the loungeroom :-)

Swam a km yesterday for the first time in about a week and managed 25m underwater. Swimming forces my ribs to expand so I'm sure it's good for me. Had a lane to myself which was nice.

Bathroom

I've convinced my builder to stop making promises he can't keep, so now I'm expecting the bathroom to be finished next week. If he'd said that in the first place instead of "tomorrow" (repeat) I'd have been much happier.
