Top Gear Cat

My car's engine has been running a bit off since it came back from its service last week.
The rhythm and pitch are ever so slightly off; there's not quite as much power. Nothing as obvious as a miss, or a delay on responsiveness, but maybe about 10-15% off true (and where that number came from is known only to the shamans of certain isolated surviving Mayan tribes).
Anywho, I took a look under the bonnet to twang a belt or two and thus come to the end of my useful automotive diagnostic abilities. Actually no, I did notice one more thing of interest in my engine bay: cat fur*. It's everywhere. Get used to it.
New spark plugs coming up. Fingers crossed that clutch surgery is not in anyone's future, but the mechanic did say that the gearbox is starting to show its age. Curse my new-found love of the motor vehicle and shrinking tolerance for performance flaws.
I think I shall have to hire something expensive for a day on my birthday, or maybe go for another Harley ride. It's probably about 10 years since the last one.
(*) No other cat parts were involved.
