stephbgLast night I attended a seminar about networking. Today I accepted a surprise request to speak at a communications conference for the Ag department. What rhymes with lupin?
I'd been recommended by R, a professional tech writing colleague and friend, and I'll be on a panel with Grant Stone. I've come across Grant through SF circles, and R went to school with him.
I love Perth.
That's my fourth professional speaking engagement for the year, and /woosh/ is the sound of my comfort zone going by. Still, anything's easier than standup, right*?
I have a terrible feeling that I'm going to do something foolish in the next couple of years, specifically before I hit 40. Let's be clear here. I plan to hit 40, not the other way around.
(*) It was 17 years ago. Move on.
