"It's the smell"

stephbgAfter a restless night felt much more animated this morning, so made it in to the office before 7 to attack the web site some more. Unfortunately carried a headache through the day, probably inspired by Jif, encouraged by smog, and then helped along by an amazing variety of smells in the city.
God I hate smokers. And traffic. And building sites. And commercial fryers. And whatever that stuff was inside that shop being refitted that nearly killed all passing pedestrians. And smokers.
Some of the legwork was in the service of Swancon as I delivered receipt books and stuff to Tactics and White Dwarf. Fantastic Planet is also on the list of places you can go to satisfy all your Swancon membership needs.
Some of the stench was in the Medicare office (carpet cleaner?); some of it at the Medibank office (something to mask the aroma of the pricing strategy?). Whatever it was there it made me fail my left-handed co-ordination roll with the touch screen, whereupon I discovered the absence of any form of Cancel/Abort/Reset/Undo/Bugger control. Lucky me, I got to be #38 AND #39 and was rewarded with some shiny pennies in exchange for various medical receipts.
