stephbgHad a very pleasant couple of hours at Fe's place this afternoon, and although I was a little concerned it wouldn't be good for my neck I managed to hem both the curtains I brought along as my "craft". It got rather crowded towards the end so I was lucky to jag a comfy spot on the couch.
Ate rather too many yummy friands.
Saw lots of lovely people in the actual flesh.
Toyed with someone's child without any apparent trauma on either side. Actually regretted the lack of handpuppets. I'm getting much better at that these days. Several children, come to think of it. Perhaps my allergy is cured.
Had lots of fun joining the room in "helping" Liz do her marking and marvelling at the geo-political analytical abilities (or lack thereof) of her 13-year-students. Discovered that Cuba's national anthem features a lot of references to dying gloriously for one's country. I can honestly say I did not anticipate learning that today.
Popped in to see the parents afterwards, but now very tired.
