What is it this time?

When you slide slowly to the floor following an ill-considered attempt to hug one's beloved who is seated on a cat poof, you do not really anticipate doing much damage.



The speed was glacial, the distance short, the landing soft. However, the two very loud crunching noises from my left thumb joint followed by nauseating waves of pain suggested that a Bad Thing had occured.

Oh no. Not again.

I'm grateful for the second crunch, for I think I might have dislocated and then relocated my thumb. No loss of movement, but some unimpressed ligature. Ice and the ability to type one-handed at speed are also good things.

I shall discover tomorrow if my gear-shifting abilities have suffered. I started looking at advanced driving courses this evening and have been watching The Stig closely. Perhaps a trip to timezone first :-)
