stephbgOK, health permitting I'll grant you, but an old (ooooold) friend is debut-ing a new 60s-present cover band called "Tall Stories" at Paddy Maguire's in Subi Saturday 30 June at 9pm, and I intend to be there to cheer and dance. Dammit.
It would be nice if other people came along too, if only to scrape me off the floor in an understanding fashion (i.e. sans calls to the police).
Greg (the aforementioned old friend) was a colleague of Husband's in Cabaret Suaving-On, the musical/comedy act in which I found him. Them. Whatever. 1990 at any rate. 'Twas another member of the band who made me do standup, so they collectively had a deep impact on my life.
Greg is also The Man With the Deep Deep Voice currently flogging everything from Volvos to the "Eyes On the Street" campaign on radio and television (he was also lucky enough to be the "Fat Explosion" guy, but hey, it pays the bills). Not much work in the print media however.
