Goodie Goodie Yum Yum

In which Tim Brooke-Taylor of The Goodies gives me one hell of a surprise.
I arrived at work one day to find the following hand-written letter and a photo of Pumpkin with some writing on it:
The letter (handwritten on Hilton Adelaide hotel stationery) reads:
-----
26/4/2005
Dear Matthew (and Stephanie)
I can't tell you how pleased that you sent me 12 + 1 - yes I can - many many thanks I'm more than pleased. I really look forward to seeing it again.
Sadly, it's a terrible film because it was a European co-production where most people didn't speak each other's language and it was all post dubbed.
But it was a huge priviledge to write + work and even direct Orson Welles (he didn't trust the director).
Thanks again, it was very thoughtful of you and much appreciated.
With best possible wishes
Tim B-T.

After a bit of WTF? it took me a few minutes to figure out (a) the handwriting and (b) the meaning. I had better clues from the message on the photo:

"Kitten Kong in the desert? To Stephanie, love and Goody wishes, Tim Brooke-Taylor"

What had Husband done?
We had failed to make The Goodies Stage Show, but Husband had attended a signing/broadcast with Graeme Garden and Tim Brooke-Taylor at an ABC Shop. True to his obscure comedy roots, he had brought along to sign nothing so nouveau as Goodies memorabilia, but rather an LP of I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again (1967).
Some pictures:

Tim and Husband got to chatting about ancient history, and it emerged that Tim did not own a copy of one of his own films 12 + 1. Husband made a "backup" copy of said film and sent it to their hotel with a photo of our cat (naturally) to be autographed, and a return envelope addressed to me at my workplace. Just to freak me out.
So, more of a Husband story than my own, but he stubbornly refuses to do his own blogging.
