The day the radio tower came down

This is a slideshow I put together of the photos taken during the tower disassembly last Saturday. Small warning - I find the ending terribly sad, but I imagine that's only because I'm so close to it all.
On June 16 2012 the ham radio tower of Don Graham VK6HK (1933-2012) was disassembled and removed from its home of nearly 40 years in Perth, Western Australia. It's headed to a new home with the Northern Corridor Radio Group in Whiteman Park, where it will continue to serve and be appreciated for many years to come.
The family would like to thank all the volunteers involved for their careful and respectful efforts and impressive teamwork. Don't worry guys - the garden will recover :-)
It's not the greatest bit of film craft out there - I have very primitive tools, but I think it gives a reasonable idea of how the morning went. I plan to add words at some point but for that I'll need to switch software. That will also give me more control over other features. I thought it best to put something up sooner rather than wait for the mythical energy I'd need to make something better. (I'm currently have issues about hosting images online which makes picture posts a bit awkward).
