I first encountered agatized coral like this as some tumbled stones which were just too damn bumpy and shiny to photograph, so I was very excited to eventually find some microscope-friendly unpolished flat slabs on ebay. (See here for quickie attempt #1). These images are... colourful.
There's not much of this stuff about, and bidding was spirited!

I missed out several times and had to resort to Evil Sneaky Tactics(tm) to win this set of three pieces but I have no regrets.

With the microscope settings under firmer control, and a willingness to play with brightness and contrast like a mad thing, these came out exceedingly trippy.
