Worms for the day

stephbgAm very proud of the writing progress for today, for though I felt particularly unwilling I ended up with a fresh 700 words in the dreaded beginning bit. That almost qualifies as actual rather than token progress.
Once I got past the slow start the words came more easily than they have in the last few days. I got my snark back and played buzzword bingo, and am less concerned that the whole section will drag. It certainly needs plenty of work, but I feel more confident now that it can be made to work. I might need to enlist the help of someone currently enmired in corporate hell to blunt the buzzwords further. I've spent too many years refusing to use language like that and I'm feeling a bit rusty.
Perhaps more importantly I'm improving my writing discipline, or perhaps finally moving past the idea that I need to be on top form to write anything reasonable. Thank you NaNoWriMo! Maybe copious amounts of pain and more serious pain relief than usual are making their mark, but I'm starting to tap my blathering exhausted-and/or-feeling-the-effects-of-medication blog voice for the purposes of fiction. I hope to rejoin the world tomorrow, which requires a bit more in the way of available brain space, but then: massage! Yay!
