I've had a fabulous truffle experience at a small European* restaurant that aquaplanage took us to, but my experiences since (truffle oil and the like) have been relatively underwhelming.
The details are somewhat hazy now.
*um, somewhere within train distance of Utrecht, which doesn't narrow it down much further than one of the Schengen countries, probably north of France and east of Germany.
