Swancon 2010

stephbgI have booked my hotel room for Swancon 2010, and although there was the initial (and by now traditional) "we have no superior rooms available" response, the Nice Man on the phone persevered and penetrated the complexities of the block booking system. "Just wait 'til April" are the words used to initiate new staff, but the Nice Man seemed to be genuinely looking forward to it. With the possible exception of the mass arrivals and departures.
Here's hoping that 2010 will be as awesome as ever, because it's not just a speedbump on the way to Aussiecon4/Worldcon and the 2011 Natcon. Swancon 2010 matters.
GoH Scott Sigler's Infected is just the thing to scrape teen vampire romance from my eyeballs. Aliens! G-men! Madness! Disease! Guns! Invasion! Gore heaped upon terror with an increasing stream of horror! Such a relief.
