Feel the burn

I spent quite a lot of today bent double trying to release the side of the house from the grip of zombies.
Weed zombies. They were mostly dead, but still causing lots of problems. I'd been thinking of it as a whipper snipper job, but today I was doing spontaneous pottering and thought it wouldn't hurt to clear the main areas around windows and services. After all, I wasn't in any hurry to get someone in.
And so I came and went through the afternoon for multiple grazing sessions, pausing to drink, stretch, and admire my handiwork. I did get a bit dizzy once after straightening up too quickly, but there was a conveniently shaded wall to rest against. Just a few more... By the time I declared a halt I was hobbling, so I know I overdid it. By early evening I was beginning to feel the burn in my lower back. No surprises there.
Later in the evening I *really* began to feel the burn and when I twisted in front of the mirror I was startled to discover a long thin perfectly symmetrical flying saucer branded across my lower back in bright red. Right where the I-bet-you'll-regret-it-later tattoo goes. What surprises me most is the regularity of the shape; I'd have expected blurrier edges. It's quite a nice shape, if you ignore the radiation damage.
I'm camera-less tonight, so the record shall not show anything, but given that that patch of me is officially Never To Be Exposed To Sunlight, that burn is going to leave a mark that shall be visible for quite some time to come.
It's getting really hot back there; I think some ice is in order.
