I really don't agree (are you actually serious?). Without death we'd have to overcome suffering, for a start, and there's that little matter of population control if we were all immortal.
Death can be a good thing, a release. I really wish euthenasia was legal as I don't see any advantage in terminal suffering. We're kinder to our pets than our relatives.
Death will hurt the loved ones left behind, but I wouldn't wish it away.
