This morning when I woke up (always a good start) I had non-feline company of the matrimonial variety. This was a Good Thing. Unfortunately the aforementioned Good Thing had a gig in the afternoon, so I haven't quite caught up on hug time yet. Not for want of trying.

The getting up thing was followed by breakfast, showering and dressing: awesome! I even hung some laundry: woohoo! I went trawling multiple help desks to find out what had happened to my missing e-mail: meh! In the afternoon I bought petrol: mintox!

The e-mail situation is better and worse than it could be. It's a complete failure of my public e-mail account, which is a redirection service. It would be mucho inconveniento to lose this address, and also more than a little embarrassing for the ACS since it's a member service. Fortunately the outage was not my fault--probably--and was a known problem reported by others so there's a bit of pressure to correct the problem. I have my suspicions that someone's server got too small for its boots and collapsed. But I've been cut off since Friday midnight and that's not funny at all. No idea if e-mail sent in that time will be lost, but my spidey senses have a bad feeling about this.

But the best bit was getting OUT to [livejournal.com profile] fe2h20's monthly craft gathering for some actual human contact. I suspect a blend of coke and Haigh's chocolate got me off the mark there, but I'm not complaining at all. I did feel a bit claustrophobic at first, and I'm out of practice at multi-threaded conversation with n small child overlays. Hell, I'm out of practice at single-threaded conversation, but once I settled myself in a spot I got back in the swing of the thing. The small children weren't really an issue, but the snot was a bit disturbing, sorry.

Awesome people, I luff you :-)

Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] mikey_ob for allowing me to invade his personal space and massage his head. Hope it helped with the migraine. I enjoyed getting back on the horse :-)

Husband returned unscathed from his nursing home gig. I have him tomorrow, errands allowing, but he's back to the prison on Tuesday. I don't mind, as long as he's back to tuck me in at night.

Tuesday is the next ACS meeting, so I have the perfect forum to quietly mention the collapse of the e-mail service to The Management, if required. If I get there. Which I shall.
