Checking in and out

Have just returned home from the Swancon venue, having checked in to my room tonight purely for the purposes of storing the first load of Stuff. I am very excited at the prospect, but have had a particularly gruelling couple of days and am more tired than I would like at this point.
Fingers crossed that I manage to obtain access to the communal microwave each morning for a decent breakfast of porridge, maple syrup and raw cashews. I've learned to cope with very little food of late, but I'm in biiiiiiiig trouble without that breakfast. Porridge-making experiments using just a kettle were not a success, so that's a critical weak point in the system :-(
Otherwise, plans for the art show are under control. Husband has kicked off the communal art work and sign, with Birman assist. Is Daddy drawing on the floor? Then *that's* where I want to be! Arrangements have been made for some other nifty professional comic art to be seen around the place. I still fear for my panel prep, but I suspect my version of "prepared" bears little relationship to anyone else's. I usually end up with too much material and mourn my pages of unused notes.
Now off to soak in the bath. I pack tomorrow. And wash my hair. And cook some rice. And print the things that still need to be printed. And go to the hotel, set up the art room, launch the con and something something.
