Hello Mr President

Somewhat belatedly I have caught up with the Obama inaugeration speech.
I liked it. Yes, of course it was pure rhetoric. It was not the occasion to set a practical working agenda. It was a speech to set the standard and lift the spirit; to reassure the watchers that there's a chance at least for change. I thought he did a fine job of it, and I feel like a witness to history just as I did when I joined the crowd to hear the Sorry speech.
I am not a political animal. I am rarely touched by history in the making, but tonight I felt a part of it all.
