Isn't it romantic?

I was reminded just now (by
leecetheartist's post referring to her pending new pedal-powered kayak) of one of the moments of high romance in the history of Husband and I.
We were at Adventure World (because we had to try it once) but true to form had picked a rainy day mid-week during the school term, so it wouldn't be too crowded. As a consequence we almost had the place to ourselves, and had fun wandering about trying the gentler activities, although we did have a go on the little roller-coaster thingie. One go.
At one point we found ourselves becalmed in the middle of a lake, struggling with a pedal boat. The heavens opened, and we quickly became soaked, and any effort to reach shelter became pointless. It was just us alone together and laughing in a world of water above, below, and all around. We were miserable. We were overjoyed.
And despite (or because of) the irony, we both remember that as one of the most romantic moments of our relationship.
I could pretend that this is a meme, but at present it's a meme of one which is a lonely place for a sheep. Still, I'd like to hear your stories of unexpected romance.
