Fiddly bits

By virtue of abandoning good wall preparation practice, doing frankly stupid things with my nice curtains in lieu of dismantlement, and adopting lower standards to edge management I have completed the last of the first coat of paint in the bedroom.
Most of the room already has its two coats, as my short session times give me an extended approach to painting. Where does it say you have to prep the whole room before you can start the first coat? Who says you have to finish the first coat before you start the second? This last section involved all the tricky bits around the windows, mirror, air con, one of the door frames, and various corners. The two windows wrap around corners, making four for curtain purposes (but only two for pelmet purposes), and many many edges.
One more coat and that should be that. Time to gather up the drop sheets, shuffle furniture back in place and return to the serious but not urgent search for a decent timber and brass ceiling fan/light. And appropriate artwork. And maybe more glow-in-the-dark stars for the ceiling. I love those things.
Speaking of drop sheets, it it wierd that I look at the less than watertight plastic coating on my bedroom and think I'd make a bad serial killer? Sure the bit in the middle is fun, but the prep and tidy up is just a drag. I need minions.
