From the geological perspective I'm not a particular fan of diamonds. It's just carbon people, don't get excited. I could have easily obtained some rough industrial-grade specimens by now, but I haven't bothered. However, I will allow that cut diamonds are shiny, but I certainly can't afford to acquire them in any sensible size. Here are mine.

It's little and delicate things that look like coral today. I make no apology for the appearance of strands of cotton wadding in these shots; if you've ever handled aragonite or pyromorphite you'd understand. Fragile suckers.
