Pretty rocks of the day: Amethyst

I'd be surprised if anyone here didn't know what amethyst was. It's the purple stuff, right? Common as mud? True, but it comes in a huge range of shades and--if you're prepared to look for them--many forms as well. Today's choice of purple was inspired by catundra's reference to the rainbow ordered display of minerals in the South Australian Museum. I'd been thinking along similar lines and quickly realised that I didn't yet have purple. So here we are.

Pretty rock group of the day: Dalmatians and Labradors in blue

Someone mentioned that they were a fan of laboradite so I went looking to see if I had any. At this stage it would appear that I do not. In the process of hunting for blue stones I did find my sodalite which takes well to close examination. I have a lovely little deep blue gold-speckled lapus lazulii, but it failed to photograph so there'll be at least one more pretty rock post. And because I was thinking about labradores, have some dalmatian stone as well.

Meds update

All good effects now gone for several days. Tonight moving up to 37.5mg agomelatine and will start to research possible doses of melatonin.
